CARB Fleet Calculators
Fleet Average Calculators to Help you Plan for Compliance
In 2007, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) adopted a resolution designed to reduce the diesel particulate matter (PM) and oxides of nitrogen (NOx) emissions from in-use off-road heavy-duty diesel vehicles in California.
The CARB Fleet Average Calculators have been designed to help fleet owners calculate their fleet's Fleet Average and Fleet Average Targets based on the equipment model year and horsepower input. These calculators allow fleet owner's to plan for compliance with the in-use off-road diesel vehicle regulation.
There is one calculator for large/medium fleets and one for small fleets. Small fleets are municipalities, non-profits, and businesses with less than or equal to 2,500 horsepower total of affected vehicles. Municipalities in rural low-population counties are small fleets, regardless of total horsepower.
