Maintenance and Safety

From Pre-Operation Inspections to Scheduled Maintenance

Lift Truck Safety Maintenance

Proper maintenance starts with the daily checks of the forklift and as well as other materials which are required for a safe operating environment. Examples of other important tools to properly maintain are wheel chocks, trailer locks and dock plates, adequate lighting, and travel lane markings for trucks and pedestrians.

These daily checks or lift truck Pre-operation inspections are an OSHA requirement – Are your operators completing these inspections prior to starting each shift? If not, you are not in compliance with this very specific regulation.

Periodic Maintenance
A Periodic Maintenance program ensures each of your lift trucks receives timely thorough inspections. In addition to ensuring up time and productivity, these inspections and maintenance will also give you assurance that you are operating safely.
