Video Showcases the Hyster Fortis Assembly Process 

Video follows the Fortis line of lift trucks from conception to creation  

(GREENVIILLE, N.C., USA: May 26, 2009) Hyster Company, a leading lift truck designer and manufacturer in North America, recently produced a video chronicling the design of the Hyster Fortis® series of lift trucks. The footage was filmed at the Hyster assembly plant in Berea, KY. With an inside look at the Fortis assembly process, from concept to creation, the video demonstrates the standards and commitment to quality behind each Hyster lift truck.  

The video highlights the testing performed on each Hyster Fortis truck, a process that includes unparalleled virtual, bench, and field-testing equipment. Incorporating proven design processes and systems, each Fortis lift truck is offered with multiple powertrain configurations to meet specific application requirements and business objectives and to optimize productivity, dependability and cost of operations.

Also on display are the state-of-the-art manufacturing systems and processes in use at the Hyster plant in Berea, including automated-guided vehicles, manual and robotic welding, advanced powdercoat painting systems, ergonomic material handling, and computer-controlled manufacturing stations. The manufacturing and design advances allow the Hyster Fortis to improve dependability and lower operating costs in all applications.
