New 36 - 48 Tonne Forklift

Flexibility for Heavy Duty Applications

Hyster has introduced a new 36-48 Tonne lift truck series, H36.00-48.00XM(S)-12, offering maximum flexibility for heavy-duty applications such as the ports or metal industry. The 7 new models in the series are available with standard forks, or with a fork-mounted, removable 20’-40’ telescopic container spreader.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION FEATURES
A powerful 6 cylinder, 10.8 litre Cummins QSM11 turbo diesel engine provides clean-running power, conforming to the EC Tier 3 emissions standards for Non-Road Mobile Machinery. For increased productivity and fuel economy, two engine performance levels are available, either with 224 kW or 272 kW @ 1800 rpm. The engine is combined with a four-speed powershift transmission, the ‘APC200 Soft-Shift’ automatic gear shifting, protective forward / reverse shifting lock-out, a transmission protection system and a heavy-duty ‘AxleTech’ drive-axle featuring wet disc brakes.

SHORT WHEEL BASE VERSIONS
The 36 – 40 – 44 - 48 tonne models are available in an “S” (short) 5.38m wheelbase version which is one of the most compact machines available on the market, suited to various heavy industry sectors.

VISTA CABS
The series features the Hyster “Vista” cab and focuses on providing superior driver comfort, ergonomics and excellent all round visibility. The easily accessed operator compartment is ideally positioned for optimal visibility on the forks. Through-mast visibility is excellent and rearwards vision is greatly enhanced by the low profile shape of the new counterweight. Air-conditioning features as standard and in-cab noise level is comfortably low at 75dB(A) according to EN12053. The dash display is positioned to the driver’s right-hand side, to avoid unnecessary distraction, and maximise forward visibility. Operators can also choose between either a newly designed joystick control or conventional lever and switch controls.

DEPENDABLE WITH LOW COST OF OWNERSHIP
The models benefit from an exceptionally durable driveline, with a robust drive axle and advanced auto-shift transmission system. The clean running engine incorporates an engine protection system with shutdown function. Large 18.00x25 tyres (available as Bias pneumatics or Radial pneumatics) offer improved tyre life and lower running costs. With increased travel speeds and lifting speeds of up to 0.385m/sec, operation costs are also reduced across the shift.

For quick and easy service access, the cab also features a powered side-tilt facility in combination with quickly removable lightweight aluminium floor plate sections.

Manufactured at Hyster’s factory in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, the new models are supported in operation through a comprehensive network of local Hyster distribution partners.
