A robust chassis and high strength mast design optimises capacity retention at high lifts and delivers excellent visibility and rigidity. All powertrains are controlled, protected and managed by the Pacesetter VSM™ the industrial on-board computer featuring a CANbus communications network. This system permits adjustment of the truck’s performance, in addition to monitoring key functions, enabling quick, easy diagnostics, minimising repair downtime and unnecessary parts swapping.

The Fortens Advance models feature the 3-speed DuraMatch™ 3 transmission which manages truck deceleration & direction changes, contributing to extending brake and tyre life and preventing transmission wear
The energy-efficient ECO-eLo performance mode reduces energy consumption by up to 20% without compromising productivity. LSH increases productivity and lowers fuel consumption resulting in lower operating costs. Oil immersed brakes are housed in and protected by a sealed unit, preventing contaminants and damage, so protecting them in dirty environments. This contributes to reduced maintenance and repair time and costs, which results in extended truck dependability and uptime. The Hyster Stability Mechanism™ reduces truck lean in turns, improving lateral stability. The design enables the operator to travel over uneven surfaces with confidence.
The innovative cab design offers easy access, excellent all-round visibility and conveniently located controls. To optimise operator comfort, the full-suspension seat, together with the isolated powertrain delivers a whole body vibration of just 0.6m/s2. The Infinitely adjustable tilt steering column allows operators to easily obtain a comfortable driving position. Seatside E-hydraulics also add to operator comfort, with TouchPointTM Mini-levers or cowlmounted mechanical hydraulic levers available to reduce operator fatigue on long shifts.
The removable one-piece steel floor plate is easily removed to provide excellent service access. The use of leak-free O-ring face seals helps to maximize uptime. An in-tank hydraulic filter allows for a cleaner overall operation.
Intelligent CAN bus technology permits adjustment and optimisation of the truck’s performance, in addition to monitoring key functions. This enables quick, easy diagnostics and minimises repair downtime. The maintenance-free, HSM enhances lateral stability without compromising uneven surface travel.
The drivetrain is fully isolated through the use of elastomeric mounts for the engine and transmission. A moulded rubber floor mat reduces noise and vibration in the operator compartment. The Fortens™ series features a range of patented transmission designs, which improve performance while reducing operating costs.
