Visit Hyster at TOC Europe 2023

Visit Hyster at TOC Europe 2023 to discover zero-emission equipment electrification and alternative power sources.

Are you looking for ways to reduce emissions and fuel consumption in your port or terminal operations? Do you want to know more about the latest innovations in port equipment electrification? If so, come and see Hyster on Stand C11 at TOC Europe 2023, from 13th to 15th June in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Preview the new zero-emission Hyster® Terminal Tractor

Hyster will give TOC Europe 2023 visitors a first glimpse of the zero-emission terminal tractor that Hyster is developing for use in Europe by Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA). The machine will be powered by Nuvera hydrogen fuel cells and run on hydrogen fuel at the Clean Port & Logistics cluster at HHLA Container Terminal Tollerort in Hamburg.

Hyster is also helping customers explore the possibilities of robotic charging for electric trucks. Visit the Hyster stand at TOC Europe to see an example of an autonomous charging system that will be compatible with the Hyster Terminal Tractor that is in development.

Learn more about hydrogen-powered Container Handlers and ReachStackers

Hyster is at the forefront of electrifying higher-capacity port equipment that has traditionally relied on internal combustion engine (ICE) power.

Talk to the team at TOC Europe about the first-ever, real-world pilot of a Hyster hydrogen fuel cell-powered container handler at Fenix Marine Services in the Port of Los Angeles. Powered by two 45kw hydrogen fuel cells, this project was also recently recognised as a finalist for the World Hydrogen Awards 2023.

These same technologies are seen in the zero-emission Hyster® ReachStacker that is in development for the Port of Valencia, as part of the European Horizon 2020 programme and H2Ports project. The port will be the first in Europe to incorporate hydrogen energy in its operations.

In addition, Hyster is developing an Empty Container Handler powered by hydrogen fuel cells for HHLA in Hamburg, Germany.

Lithium-ion batteries for Hyster port equipment

Hyster recently revealed that it will provide CARU Containers B.V. with a 100% battery-powered Hyster Empty Container Handler for use in a depot in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The electric empty container handler will be powered by 650-volt lithium-ion batteries, with electricity sourced from solar panels on site at the CARU depot.

Visit Stand C11 at TOC Europe to talk to the Hyster team about whether battery-electric port equipment could meet your application needs.

Help to reduce port equipment emissions

The development of hydrogen and lithium-ion powered equipment is moving ports closer to total electrification, which could help operations to reduce emissions and fuel consumption.

To support a wide range of businesses on their journey towards electrification, Hyster Big Trucks, including Container Handlers and ReachStackers, can also now utilise HVO100 (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) as a fuel source to help reduce emissions.

Talk to the Hyster experts at TOC Europe to find out more about using HVO in your port or terminal operations.

See you at TOC Europe

Hyster understands that every port and terminal is different.  Visit the Hyster stand at TOC Europe to discuss your particular application needs and learn why partnering with us may help identify the zero-emissions equipment solutions that you need.
