Hyster-Yale Materials Handling (HYMH) proudly announces that its Hyster-Yale UK Limited facility in Craigavon, Northern Ireland, has achieved Platinum level in the 2025 Northern Ireland (NI) Environmental Benchmarking Survey, highlighting the company’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and operational sustainability.
The NI Environmental Benchmarking Survey, organised by Business in the Community, enables companies to annually assess their environmental performance and benchmark progress against peers to support continuous improvement. Participants are evaluated across multiple critical impact areas including carbon reduction, water stewardship, waste management, and community involvement.
Among the 150 companies that took part in the 2025 survey, the HYMH Craigavon facility ranked in the top 50, securing the coveted Platinum‑level accreditation, the highest distinction awarded, and placing it among an elite group of just three engineering companies to achieve this top‑tier designation. The Craigavon facility has maintained Platinum status for six consecutive years, highlighting its focus on reducing environmental impact and supporting HYMH’s long‑term sustainability priorities. To retain Platinum status, Companies must show a steady year‑on-year improvement.

Established 27 years ago, the NI Environmental Benchmarking Survey is recognised as a positive force driving businesses across the region toward more sustainable operations. Participation in the survey enables organisations to measure progress, demonstrate results, and identify new opportunities for environmental improvement.
