Comparisons include selected preventative maintenance tasks to ensure a like-for-like comparison. These tasks include, replacement of engine oil, engine oil filter, engine coolant, differential oil, hydraulic oil, brake fluid, spark plugs, and stability system components, as well as lubrication of wheel bearings, lift chains, and steer axle. Comparisons are based on like-for-like service durations and labor rates. Data is sourced from published maintenance schedules as of 2024. Actual maintenance costs may vary. Fuel savings example is based on Hyster A Series 5,000 lb capacity LPG engine forklift and 50% VDI fuel usage and an LPG cost per gallon of $2.65. Hyster trucks fitted with on-demand hydraulics, fuel savings may vary dependant on exact specification of Hyster A Series truck. For non-A series trucks, maintenance and fuel saving data may vary.
