During development, Hyster engineers utilise cutting edge CAD (computer aided design) techniques to maximise the structural integrity of the design. Component positioning in the truck is optimised to assure protection while allowing service access. Hyster consults renowned experts to help develop operator compartments and driver interfaces for improved ergonomics. Hyster has product development and test centres in the United States, Italy, India, The Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Japan. At these world-class test facilities, components and prototypes undergo test cycles equivalent to years of continuous equipment operation in extreme conditions.
