We’re in this together: Our response to COVID-19
Serving
the material handling industry for over 90 years has taught us many things, but
one lesson rings true; now more than ever. We
are better when we work together, AS ONE. Working, AS ONE, means we are aligning our
efforts among our dealer partners, suppliers, customers, associates and global
theaters. Therefore, our commitment remains to do all we can to deliver the
same level of support you have come to know and expect from Hyster-Yale and our
dealer partners; despite the challenges presented by this evolving situation.
The
safety and security of the Hyster-Yale family, of customers, dealer partners,
associates and communities, makes up the foundation of our organization. The
spread of COVID-19, known as coronavirus, continues to be a growing concern
across the globe, and we are taking extra precautions to protect you, our
employees and the communities we serve.
Staying Informed:
Our
Global Task Force continues to evaluate the impact of COVID-19, which involves monitoring
the well-being of our associates around the world, working with our supply
chain to identify any potential delays in production and keeping an open and
regular line of communication with our dealers. These measures ensure we act on
the latest information and prepare contingency plans to navigate a very dynamic
situation.
Staying Vigilant:
Our
dedicated global task force and dealer partners will continue to take proactive
measures to reduce exposure in our facilities, while maintaining our commitment
to serve you and your business. To help safeguard our teams, we have
established protocols to reduce exposure through a number of preventive
measures in accordance with CDC recommendations including: suspending
international air travel, limiting domestic air travel, asking employees to
hold meetings virtually, limiting visitors and encouraging social distancing
wherever possible.
Staying Together:
While
we cannot forecast the full impact of the situation, we are proud to support
our dealer partners and customers as they work to keep this world moving. Without them, many companies would not be
able to move medicine, food, or the staples that are needed during this
critical time.
Thank
you for your confidence in Hyster-Yale as a trusted partner. We value our
community and are committed to helping keep it safe during this time. We will
stay vigilant in our efforts and will update our plan and procedures as
necessary. Thank you for your support as we navigate this evolving situation.
